Goal oriented & trauma informed

About Amelia Elkins, LCSW, CAS

Therapist in Denver, Colorado

Background

Having a neutral, safe space to process and work through life's challenges can be transformative. Part of being human means experiencing challenges and struggles. I've always loved connecting, supporting and lifting others up and have also experienced the numerous benefits from therapy firsthand.  I understand the significance of having an empathetic, accepting & supportive ear. I also know the vulnerability it takes to start and maintain therapy.

I was born and raised in small town Alaska  but have lived in Denver, CO for over ten years. I truly value the folks I work with and feel honored to bear witness to their experiences and growth.

Framework

As a therapist, I believe everyone possesses strengths, qualities, and internal resources, which may help conquer current struggles. My job is to help you access these strengths through counseling and learn tools to become the healthiest version of yourself. Through a combination of focused talk therapy, personalized goals, and creative tools catered to your specific needs, I’ll support you in obtaining empowerment and self-sufficiency.
